WOW. Mrs Doombreed and I went to see Underworld Evolution today, and it was amazing. It's one of those rare sequels that lives up to the original. The storyline is excellent, the action scenes as violent and fluid as ever, the ongoing revelation of Selene's backstory is intriguing, the history and origin of the vampire/lycan feud is explained in greater detail, and Kate Beckinsale looks sexier than ever in that outfit.

My only problem with the plot lies here:
If you wanted to lock up an immortal being "for all eternity" (direct quite from the movie) why would you create a key for the prison you put him in, no matter how ornate or devious? I mean, "all eternity" kinda implies you never want him released, so why would you even bother with a key? Right? Okay, it'd make for a short movie, but...
